Members of Incagliati undertake an exciting exchange to Italy at the end of April 2008. The venture sees the choir exchanging with an Italian choir, called the Coro Polifonico di Santo Spirito, in Ferrara, Italy.
Situated in the heart of the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, Ferrara is a town with a rich cultural and musical tradition – not to mention plenty of good food and wine!
The programme for the Italian concert is one of seventeenth-century sacred music, an era in which Ferrara itself was a vibrant court: home of the Estense Dukes and rival to nearby Mantua and Venice.
With music such as Lotti’s Crucifixus and selected works from Monteverdi’s Vespers, it promises to be an exciting trip.
The Coro Polifonico will be returning to London to perform together with Incagliati on the 31st May 2008.
